Council Tax - Parish Precept No increase for Combe Parish - kept at the same rate for 2011.
Overhanging Trees, Spreading Hedges We have received several complaints from people unable to use pavements due to hedges spreading across them, particularly mothers with prams or pushchairs and also invalid buggies. They are having to walk in the road, with danger to themselves and also road users. Please ensure hedges, brambles and trees are cut so they do not project beyond your boundary.
Flooding - solution found and new high capacity drains installed. Work on new drains from the road at the bottom of Parsons Hill, through a garden and then across the playing field to the farmland beyond has now been completed. This has been funded by Combe Parish Council, West Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council. The original 9" pipe has been retained and two new 12" pipes have been installed across the garden and part of the playing field. Across most of the playing field a slotted 18" pipe laid in shingle was used to improve the drainage of the wet areas.
